Officine di Cartigliano Spa, since 1961 oversees the market of equipment for processing of leathers and has been awarded with the prize “Best Innovation Process” raffled by APLF in Hong Kong, the exhibition which involves the most important tanneries in worldwide and the producers of machinery industry.
To impress the jury was the technology innovation contained in a-CNS, a machine created around the concept of “freezing drying”, that is dry leather at low temperature.
The prize for technological innovation of APLF was received from the President of Officine Cartigliano, Antonio Polato.
In its fifty years of activity, the Officine di Cartigliano wrote the story of tannery drying process with about 200 patents that have marked the largest commitment in improving the techniques of leather processing.
The 10% of turnover is invested each year in research and 85% of production goes abroad.
Though tanning remains the core business, the company has expanded its areas of interest to the food industry, offering an innovative system of pasteurization and sterilization which gives the treated product organoleptic characteristics equivalent to cool.
In the environmental sector has also developed innovative solutions to transform the costs arising from industrial wastewater in an economic advantage.
